Easy to get started

Just finished the Beginner Electrical Package. It was pretty good, honestly. I was a bit nervous about starting, but the teachers made it easy to understand. Got my dates sorted quickly. Everything went smoothly, no drama. Felt like I learned a lot. Happy with how it turned out.

Good course, minor booking issue

I booked the City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course a few months ago. The course material was thorough, and the instructors clearly knew their stuff. I felt well-prepared for the exams. My main gripe was with the booking process; the website was a bit clunky on my phone, and it took a couple of tries to get the dates confirmed. Overall, the value for the money was good, but they could improve the online booking experience.

Reliable for advanced training

I've taken a few courses with Learn Trade Skills now; this time it was the Inspection and Testing 2391. As always, the quality was consistent. Their instructors are knowledgeable, and the facilities are good. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they deliver. I initially did my Level 2 and 3 with them, and the Gold Card Package was a natural next step. Never had any issues with course content or accreditation. Their support staff were helpful when I needed to reschedule a module once, which was a relief. Always a solid choice for professional development.

EV Charging course experience

I recently completed the EV Charging Installation Course with Learn Trade Skills. The online booking was straightforward, and I received a confirmation email within minutes. They sent pre-course materials a week before, which was helpful for getting a head start. The training centre was well-equipped, and the instructor was excellent, explaining complex topics clearly. We covered everything from regulations to hands-on installation. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about my certificate timeline after the course; they got back to me within a day. The only minor point was lunch isn't provided, which I expected, but it's worth noting for future students.

Thinking of doing the Gold Card package, is it cheaper to do that or just book the courses individually as I go?

W Wendy 2 months ago
Definitely bundle it. They usually have a pretty good discount for the Gold Card package, saves a decent chunk.

yeah I did the package deal last year, saved me like 150 quid compared to if I'd booked each module separately. Plus you get everything lined up.

What's the difference between this place and like, Trade Skills 4U or Able Skills? All seem to offer similar stuff.

S Shane 2 months ago
I checked out all three. LTS felt a bit more focused, less like a factory. Course content is pretty much the same everywhere since it's all C&G though.

I went with LTS for my L2 and L3. Found their instructors to be really hands-on, felt like I got more personal attention than some of the bigger places my mates went to. Price was competitive too.

Does anyone know if they do any kind of discount for NHS staff? My wife's looking at their EV course.

J James 2 months ago
I'm pretty sure they do an NHS discount. Seen it mentioned somewhere when I was looking at their site for the 18th Ed course.

They totally do! My mate got money off his Inspection and Testing course last month with his NHS ID. Just ask them directly, I think it's not always on the main site.

Can you pay for the courses in bits or do you need to pay it all upfront?

J Jared Silva 2 months ago
They do payment plans, afaik. I paid a deposit for mine and then spread the rest out.

Yeah, pretty sure they have installment options. I just paid for the whole thing because my work funded it, but remember seeing choices for breaking up the cost on the booking page.
